Inside illustration for A VOICE FOR THE REDWOODS. I used my late wife and a friend's daughter for the models. The pictures were taken at different times - I posed my wife specifically for the painting but accidentally discovered the young girl's photo. I originally wanted her to be reading, too, but this pose was better. Happy accidents are always welcomed.
